Amtrak runs Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday through the town of Hinton, offering a selection of day trip or extended stay options for visitors.

Hinton boasts a scenic small town style with no public transportation options, visitors exploring outside of the historic district must make transportation arrangements ahead of time through a regional rental facility.

For day trippers coming to Hinton, visitors can enjoy the Hinton National Historic District. Take a walking tour. Enjoy quaint shops, local dining, and museums. 

Take a day trip from Hinton to the Greenbrier Resort and spend the afternoon exploring America's resort or go a bit further to Clifton Forge and visit the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Heritage Center. The train leaves the Hinton Station at 10:50 AM and returns at 6:06 PM.
